This study examines the evolution of historical thinking and historical consciousness within the framework of philosophy of history, historiography, and theories of social consciousness. The research conceptualizes historical thinking not merely as a method of interpreting historical knowledge but as an intellectual process that shapes collective memory, cultural identity, and civilizational experience. The article analyzes the historical transformation of historical consciousness from traditional narratives to modern historiographical paradigms. The findings demonstrate that historical thinking and historical consciousness constitute interconnected dimensions of human intellectual development, reflecting the changing ways societies interpret their past and construct their historical identity
