Abstract

This article examines the theoretical and conceptual foundations of ethnocultural integration from a socio-philosophical perspective. The study aims to conceptualise ethnocultural integration as a distinct social process, differentiated from adaptation, acculturation, assimilation and social inclusion, and to clarify the criteria that ensure its sustainability. A comparative analysis of classical and contemporary theories establishes ethnocultural integration as a multilevel process based on the coordination of cultural identity preservation, institutional equality, social participation, intercultural dialogue and shared civic belonging. The article also argues that assessments of integration effectiveness should extend beyond indicators of outward adaptation to include institutional trust, social agency, cultural security and multilayered identity.
