THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

The rapid development of digital technologies has significantly transformed the educational system worldwide, especially in the field of foreign language teaching and learning. English language education has become more interactive, accessible, and learner-centered due to the integration of modern technological tools such as multimedia resources, online platforms, mobile applications, and artificial intelligence. This article analyzes the role of digital technologies in English language learning, identifies their advantages and disadvantages, and examines their influence on students’ motivation, communication skills, and independent learning abilities. The study also discusses the effectiveness of online educational platforms and digital resources in improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The findings demonstrate that digital technologies increase learners’ engagement and contribute to the development of communicative competence in English.
