Abstract

The development of learners’ competencies has become a central objective of contemporary education, particularly in science education, where students are expected not only to acquire conceptual knowledge but also to apply it to authentic problems and unfamiliar contexts. This article examines the content, assessment criteria, and pedagogical conditions for developing competencies in physics education. The study conceptualizes physics competence as an integrative educational outcome that combines subject knowledge, procedural skills, research abilities, data interpretation, digital literacy, communication, and reflective capacity.
