Abstract

This article examines the historical formation and development of Karakalpak pop music within the broader context of national musical culture and modern performance art. It analyzes the transformation of traditional musical heritage into contemporary stage performance, highlighting the interaction between folk traditions, professional musical education, and global pop culture trends. The study explores how Karakalpak pop music preserves its cultural identity while adapting to modern artistic and technological environments. Particular attention is given to the continuity between oral folk traditions, bakhshi performance culture, and modern pop expression. The research demonstrates that Karakalpak pop music represents a dynamic synthesis of tradition and modernity, reflecting both cultural preservation and artistic innovation.
