This article discusses the possibility of using artificial intelligence for teaching English to the students in primary grades, in particular to the students aged 7-9 years. In the traditional lessons, problems may arise, such as limited teaching resources, insufficient time of the teacher, and the need to take into account the individual needs of students. The article analyzes these problems and considers the possibilities of using artificial intelligence tools such as Twee, Poe and ChatGPT in overcoming them on the basis of practical examples. Attention is also paid to the psychological and cognitive characteristics of primary children and the adaptation of educational materials taking into account these features. The article analyzes the practical possibilities of using artificial intelligence tools to create assignments tailored to the needs and language level of students, individualize the content of education and reduce the workload of teachers in the preparatory process. At the same time, the need for pedagogical control of the teacher and maintaining the priority of the human factor in the use of such tools is emphasized.
