Keywords:
Concept, conceptivism, cognitive linguistics, “Beauty” concept.Abstract
The article discusses about the concept and conceptivism in English and Uzbek. Moreover, the article illustrates some features of the concept “beauty” in both languages. The article considers the concept as a complex cognitive and linguocultural phenomenon that reflects knowledge, images, associations, evaluations, and attitudes formed in the consciousness of language users. Within this framework, the concept of “Beauty” is analyzed not merely as a lexical unit but as a multidimensional cultural construct associated with human appearance, moral qualities, spirituality, nature, social relations, art, literature, and aesthetic values. The study demonstrates that the perception of beauty is influenced by both objective characteristics, such as harmony, proportion, color, appropriateness, and form, and subjective factors, including individual taste, worldview, social experience, cultural background, and aesthetic preferences.
